Celebrating 1444 H Ramadan, Jalin and BAZNAZ Distribute 1000 Blessed Ramadan Meals

JAKARTA, April 14, 2023 – To celebrate 1444 H Ramadan as a month full of blessings for sharing with others, PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara ("Jalin") cooperates with Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) to carry out the Company’s social responsibility program in the form of 1000 (one thousand) Hidangan Berkah Ramadan (Blessed Ramadan Meals) in several foundations in Greater Jakarta.

Such social assistance provided by Jalin constitutes its contribution to sharing with those in need, in line with the implementation of the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises’ Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program which is oriented toward Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through socio-economic pillars. To achieve such a goal, Jalin carries out community social assistance and welfare improvement programs.

The 1000 Hidangan Berkah Ramadan was conducted on April 11– 14, 2023 by distributing meals to orphans, impoverished people, visually-impaired people, and persons with physical and mental disabilities in various foundations in Greater Jakarta, including Forum Komunikasi Tunanetra Fisabilillah, South Jakarta; Panti Sosial Bina Daksa (PSBD) Budi Bhakti, West Jakarta; PTKN Peduli Kesejahteraan Tuna Netra, Tangerang; Yayasan Penyandang Disabilitas, Bogor Regency; Forum Penyandang Disabilitas, East Jakarta; and Yayasan Pendidikan Sekolah Alam Tunas Mulia, Bantar Gebang.

1000 Hidangan Berkah Ramadan were distributed symbolically at Sekolah Alam Tunas Mulia, Bantar Gebang - Bekasi by Jalin’s Director of Technology, Fajar Adimara to Juwarto as a member of Yayasan Sekolah Alam Tunas Mulia’s Executive Board.

In his opening remark, Fajar said that this social assistance provided iftar and suhoor meals to underprivileged people who were unable to prepare nutritious iftar meals. In fact, this program also benefits small business players such as restaurants or food stalls fostered by BAZNAZ whose revenue decreased during Ramadan.

Jalin’s employees supported the program by making a donation via its Islamic Spiritual Community (Rohis) to show their care and strengthen Islamic brotherhood between Muslims. The donation was directly given to orphans and impoverished children at Sekolah Alam Tunas Mulia so they can meet their daily needs.

“In addition to sharing and establishing amicable relationships with others to welcome Eid al-Fitr, Jalin would like to get closer with the surrounding community and promote itself as a Company that contributes to advancing the financial and payment industry in Indonesia,” Fajar concluded.
