Accelerating the Digital Economic Growth, the Payment System Industry is developing the Indonesian Credit Card (KKI) Online Payment Virtual Card Tokenization Feature

PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara ("Jalin") supports Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Asosiasi Sistem Pembayaran Indonesia (ASPI) in developing the Indonesian Credit Card (KKI) Phase 2 service by preparing to launch the Online Payment Virtual Card Tokenization feature at the High-Level Meeting Steering Committee event (12/01) in Jakarta.

KKI serves as a payment method, offering credit facilities used by the Government and State Institutions to fulfill domestic shopping or transaction needs. KKI processing is done locally through the non-cash payment system, known as Gerbang Pembayaran Nasional (GPN) or the National Payment Gateway.

KKI Online Phase 2 is designed to facilitate payment transactions on online platforms and enhance the previously launched KKI Government Segment services in physical form in 2023 through the Digital Economy and Financial Festival Indonesia (Festival Ekonomi Keuangan Digital Indonesia or FEKDI) event in Jakarta.

As a Payment System Infrastructure Provider (PIP) institution, Jalin participates in the showcase by supporting Bank Mandiri's acquirer switching system for purchases at YokkeBiz merchants.

In the future, both Central and Regional Governments can make various state expenditures, from operational goods to booking official travel for Civil Servants (ASN), through online marketplaces or merchants.

During the same event, Jalin's CEO, Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, expressed Jalin's commitment to continue supporting the government's roadmap realization in achieving domestic payment system sovereignty, especially through the expansion of GPN via KKI services.

"It is hoped that KKI Virtual Card Tokenization will be an ongoing initiative that can simplify transactions on online platforms and support the growth of local products," Ario concluded.
