Ensuring Safe and Comfortable Homecoming Flow During Eid Al-Fitr, Jalin and BAZNAS Provide Various Free Homecoming Post Services for the Community
Apr 19, 2023
BANTEN, April 19, 2023 - Approaching the Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H holiday, PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (“Jalin”) supports the community’s safety and health, especially during the homecoming flow and reverse flow by opening 1444 H Eid Posts. This is a collaborative program between Jalin and BAZNAS which is carried out for six days starting on D-3 of Eid Al-Fitr (April 19-21, 2023) until D+3 of Eid Al-Fitr (April 23-25, 2023) with two service points, namely at Kramatwatu Square (for homecoming flow) and at the Baitul Muslimin Mosque (for reverse flow), Serang Regency, Banten.
Jalin’s President Director, Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, stated that the peak of homecoming flow is expected on Wednesday (19/4) or D-3 and Thursday (20/4) or D-2. Meanwhile, the peak of the first reverse flow will be on Monday (24/4) or D+ 1 and Tuesday (25/4) or D+2, and the peak of the second reverse flow will be on Sunday (30/4) or D+7 and Monday (1/5) or D+8 which coincides with the Labor Day holiday. “In connection with the decree of the Government regarding the Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H Holidays on April 19-25, 2023, we hope that the community can use this moment to reunite with their beloved families after the restrictions imposed by the government during the pandemic three years ago. At this moment Jalin wants to present itself to the community by providing the best public services through the posts, ensuring the community returns to their hometowns comfortably, safely, and securely,” added Ario.
During the Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H Joint Leave period, Jalin provides the posts on the non-toll route with various facilities and basic needs that can be utilized by motorcyclists and public transport passengers, including rest areas, water stations, free takjil (sweet food eaten upon breaking the fast), cell phone chargers, and health services. BAZNAS also provides zakat payment services for those who want to fulfill their obligations at the standby posts located in the rest area.
“My family and I left for homecoming from Balaraja on motorbikes and intentionally stopped at this post because we wanted to rest before we boarded a ship crossing from Merak to Bakauheni. We are very thankful that this post is a safe and comfortable place for us to rest. The staff is responsive, especially in helping us order ship tickets with transfer payment method,” said Handoko, a traveler who will return to Prabumulih, South Sumatra.
Ario added that Jalin wanted travelers to enjoy benefits from the posts that had been provided in Serang Regency as it is one of the busiest routes to the port of Merak. Ario emphasized that the existence of this post can help reduce fatigue and thus the risk of accidents, as well as increase the safety and comfort of travelers on their trips.
Re-collaborating with BAZNAS for this Eid holiday season, the provision of the posts is the implementation of Jalin’s social program. Jalin and BAZNAS have consistently implemented various social programs since 2019 including the ‘Jalin Joint Sacrifice’ program, ‘1000 Ramadan Blessed Meals Program’, and ‘100 Al-Quran Packages’. “I thank BAZNAS for the synergy to jointly support the Company’s social responsibility programs, especially to provide convenience for travelers. Every year, we hope that we can always contribute to the community by holding appropriate and positive programs,” said Ario.
This social program is a form of Jalin’s social responsibility that is in line with the company’s spirit and vision as ‘The National Digital Highway’ in connecting communities with financial and non-financial ecosystems to encourage national financial inclusion. Besides, this constitutes a means to introduce the Company to the community and increase public awareness of the Company, especially Jalin’s role as one of the largest actors of the payment system industry in Indonesia.
In line with the provision of the posts, Jalin has also contributed to anticipating a potential surge in payment transaction services at ATMs, debit, digital banking, and QRIS, resulting from the potential movement of more than 123.8 million people during the 2023 Eid holiday. Jalin ensures that the financial services for banking and non-banking customers are optimal, normal, and stable during the Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr (RAFI) periods by alerting the 24 hours-RAFI Posts from 15 April - May 1, 2023.
