Jalin and VJI Collaborate to Strengthen Payment System for Bukalapak Partners' MSMEs
Jun 19, 2024
Jakarta – PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (“Jalin”) has announced its support for PT Visi Jaya Indonesia (“VJI”) in enhancing the payment system infrastructure based on the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (“QRIS”). This support was officially formalized through the signing of a strategic partnership attended by Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, CEO of Jalin, Eko Dedi Rukminto, Director of Commercial Jalin, and Dessia, Director of VJI.
VJI is part of Bukalapak, with a vision and mission to create a fair economy for all. To support this vision and mission, VJI is committed to strengthening the payment system services for Mitra Bukalapak, a subsidiary and online-to-offline (o2o) platform owned by Bukalapak. Currently, Mitra Bukalapak manages millions of MSMEs across Indonesia. By joining Link, VJI enables shop owners, mobile credit kiosks, and other MSMEs within Mitra Bukalapak to benefit from a more efficient and reliable QRIS payment solution.
Eko stated that this partnership marks the beginning of Jalin's efforts to provide payment system infrastructure support to VJI. "VJI has affirmed its position to enhance the payment system services for merchants within Mitra Bukalapak. Therefore, Jalin is delighted to offer a reliable payment system solution to ensure that Mitra Bukalapak can expand their digital services without worry," said Eko.
This partnership will also positively impact MSMEs in Indonesia through the o2o business model, enabling Mitra Bukalapak to reach more customers and significantly increase sales, particularly in areas with limited access to banking services. Various virtual products and digital financial services, such as bill payments, e-wallet top-ups, money transfers, and mobile credit purchases, will become easier as Mitra Bukalapak can accept payments via QRIS.
"Looking ahead, this collaboration holds vast potential beyond just QRIS payment system services. We see numerous opportunities for other collaborations to achieve financial inclusion supporting other o2o business models," concluded Eko.
Jalin and VJI are also committed to providing inclusive financial services and acting as digital enablers, connecting the community with both financial and non-financial ecosystems.
